Anthony Radogna

California State Bar Defense Ethics Attorney.

Anthony Radogna worked for over 5 years as an Investigator for the State Bar of California's Office of Chief Trial Counsel ("OCTC"), investigating a wide-range of ethical complaints brought against attorneys.

In addition, he served on specialized task force teams and has experience investigating the unauthorized practice of law (Business and Professions code section 6126.3), abandoned law practices, disbarred and resigned attorneys, and other activities such as drug abuse and physical or mental illness (Business and Professions code section 6180 and 6190).

Anthony now provides advice, consultations, and representation to California attorneys involved in State Bar proceedings, from resolving complaints, to defense in State Bar trials and appeals.

Anthony graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Business from Cal Poly Pomona. He received his Juris Doctorate from La Verne Law School and became a licensed attorney in 2008. He also holds a LL.M in Criminal Law and Practice from Southwestern Law School, 2013.

He is a member of the national Association of Professional Responsibility Responsibility Lawyers (APRL), and is currently a member and past Vice President of the Association of Discipline Defense Counsel, the bar association for lawyers who represent lawyers and others in disciplinary, admissions, and regulatory proceedings before the State Bar of California and the California Supreme Court.

In addition, he has been an Associate Professor at Irvine University Law School since 2015, where he proudly teaches Professional Responsibility classes to law students. He also serves as a committee member on two separate school Committees, Academic and Admissions. During the 2018-2019 academic year, Anthony proudly taught Professional Responsibility class at Glendale Law School as well. 

Anthony is an active member of the Orange County Bar Association (OCBAR) where he contributes many hours to serving his Orange County community. He has served as a member in Amicus Alo task force. Amicus Alo's purpose is to provide resources, education, and support to members regarding mental, emotional, and physical health issues, including disabilities, serious illnesses, substance abuse, and general well-being.

He was the OCBAR's Secretary/Treasurer of the Solo Practitioner/Small Firm Section for the 2018 term, currently the 2019 Vice Chair, and the Chair Elect for the upcoming 2020 term. 

He proudly serves as an arbitrator for the OCBAR's mandatory fee arbitration program.

Anthony was recently appointed to the 2020 Commission on Judicial Nominees Evaluation (JNE) with the State Bar of California. This State Bar Commission assists the Governor in the judicial selection process, promoting a California judiciary of quality and integrity by providing independent, comprehensive, accurate and fair evaluations of candidates for judicial appointment and nomination.

He has also served as a liaison to the California State Bar for the Lawyers Assistance Program (LAP). LAP helps lawyers and State Bar applicants who are grappling with stress, anxiety, depression, substance use or concerns about their career.

NITA Advocate

Anthony is a "NITA Advocate" (National Institute of Trial Advocacy). This advocate designation is reserved for the individuals who have completed extensive training and learned a wide range of advocacy skills through the NITA program.
